Terms of use

The agreement between you and Christlike.

Plain words, short sections.

1. Who and what these terms cover

These terms are between you and Billiminds ("Christlike", "we", "us"). They cover the Christlike Android app and the website getchristlike.com (together, "the service"). By installing or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data and is part of these terms.

2. Accounts

  • Christlike's content is suitable for all ages. You may create one account, with Google or an email address and password, if you are aged 13 or over, or older where local law requires it (for example 16 in parts of the EU). Christlike is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, you should have a parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
  • Usernames and display names must not impersonate anyone, pass for Christlike, or contain offensive words. We may ask you to change a name or change it for you.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app or at our web deletion form. See Delete your account.

3. Community rules

Christlike is a place to grow, together. When you use friends, groups, the encouragement wall, Sword Drill, live rooms or anything else where other people can see you:

  • Be kind. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate, sexual content, scams or spam.
  • Respect privacy. Do not post other people's personal details. Posts containing phone numbers are refused.
  • Stay honest. No cheating, no automated play, no fake accounts, no farming Seeds or invites.
  • Groups belong to their members. Leaders may remove members and posts; our moderators may rename a group, remove content, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and keep reports as described in the privacy policy.
  • Use the in-app block and report buttons. We review reports; the person you report never learns who reported them.

4. Seeds, growth and unlocks

  • Seeds, growth, levels, Rest Days, Grace Days, badges and unlocks are features of the service with no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred outside the app or exchanged for money or goods.
  • Seeds are earned only as described in the app, within daily caps. There are no chance-based rewards. Prayer Room entries never earn anything.
  • We may change how Seeds are earned or spent, correct balances obtained by cheating or error, and retire unlocks, acting reasonably and with notice where we can.

5. Sower (subscription)

  • Sower is a subscription sold and billed by Google Play, monthly or yearly, in your local currency, with a trial for new subscribers where offered. The price and period are shown before you confirm.
  • A trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in the Play Store (Menu → Subscriptions). You keep Sower until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its rules. Deleting your Christlike account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
  • Sower gives you more features and no ads. What it includes is described in the app and may change over time. Sower never includes Seeds.
  • Complimentary Sower, when we give it, is a gift that we may end with notice.

6. Seek and Find (AI study companion)

  • Seek and Find answers are written by AI and can be wrong, so check them against the Bible.
  • It is not pastoral counselling or medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it does not create any such relationship.
  • Do not use it to generate harmful, hateful or sexual content, to break the law, or to get around its limits. Do not include private details about yourself or others in questions.
  • You may flag any answer. We review flags without seeing who sent them.
  • Daily limits apply. We may pause, change or withdraw Seek and Find at any time, for example when a monthly budget is reached.

7. If you are in crisis

Christlike is not an emergency service. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis helpline right away. The app's Get help screen lists helplines by country, and Seek and Find shows them first when a question suggests danger. We do not monitor conversations and will not contact anyone on your behalf.

8. Content and your rights to use it

  • The Bible text is the King James Version, which is in the public domain, except in the United Kingdom, where rights are vested in the Crown. Place and cross-reference data in Behind this chapter come from OpenBible.info under the CC BY 4.0 licence, credited in the app.
  • Devotionals, prayers, questions, Behind this chapter notes, Journeys, the Christlike name, the seedling cross mark and the app's design belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes within the service, and share them with the app's share features. Churches and groups may use them in services and meetings. Please ask before reproducing them elsewhere.
  • Content you post (wall posts, group names, your profile) stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to show it within the service so the features work, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
  • Seek and Find answers are generated for you; you may use them for personal study. They are not endorsed statements of doctrine by Christlike.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attack, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, bypass App Check or other protections, use the service to send spam or malware, or use another person's account. We may rate-limit, suspend or block access to protect the service and its users.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we withdraw the service, giving notice where reasonably possible. Sections 4, 6, 8, 11 and 12 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers and liability

Christlike may show ads; Sowers don't see ads. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or without errors, or that any content is accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on content in the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to the service and these terms

We improve the service often and may add, change or remove features. When these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep using the service after the change, you accept the new terms. If you do not, please stop using the service and delete your account.

13. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms takes away protections you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
